In 2023 The Mount Warning Beverage Co. facility and team were awarded the title of ‘Sustainable Beverage Manufacturer of the Year’, but that doesn’t mean we are ready to rest there.
We are constantly pushing forward to advance and tweak how we operate to ensure we are moving forward in a way that supports the environment and area that we are so lucky to call home. In line with this, we recently completed the installation of a cutting-edge 200kW commercial solar system. This huge system means that we can utilize clean energy to power our already certified carbon-neutral business.
Solar power is renowned for significantly reducing emissions by generating electricity without the burning of fossil fuels. This leads to decreased greenhouse gas emissions and of course air pollution. As a renewable source, it also contributes to a cleaner environment and helps to mitigate climate change – promoting sustainable energy solutions for industry and individuals alike.
Solar has obvious benefits, and a system of this size has countless positives for the environment. To try and show what this might look like we have created a short list of examples:
Tree Equivalent: The installation is equivalent to planting a vast 6623 trees annually, contributing significantly to carbon offset initiatives. These numbers aside, we also have our rainforest regeneration program in place where we actually plant native trees. You can read more about this here.
Petrol Avoidance: A system like this is the equivalent of avoiding a staggering 110,017 liters of petrol per year, reducing our carbon footprint and reliance on non-renewable resources even further.
Coal Burning Avoidance: A system of this size also prevents the burning of approximately 125,034kg of coal annually, further championing the cause of cleaner, greener energy solutions.
Quantum Solar installed this incredible system for us and we are extremely grateful for their professionalism and excellence during the installation.
